What is EFT?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) is a close cousin of accupuncture. Instead of using needles, we use our own finger tips to gently "tap" on the same pressure points used in accupuncture. Nick Ortner, author of The Tapping Solution, states "Based on principles of both ancient acupressure and modern psychology, tapping concentrates on specific meridian end points while focusing on negative emotions or physical sensations. Combined with spoken words, tapping helps calm the nervious system to restore the balance of energy in the body and rewire the brain to respond in healthy ways. "   

During this process, you are able to calmly and clearly identify and release negative emotions and any issues that might limit you. As fear, pain or overwhelm are released, they are eliminated and this allows clarity and mindful choices.
